Some knowledge of air separation(2)

/ /

1.Why remove impurities during air separation.
As the air cools, the frozen water and carbon dioxide are deposited in a cryogenic heat exchanger, a turbine expander, or a distillation tower, blocking passages, pipes, and valves. Acetylene accumulates in liquid oxygen and is in danger of explosion. Dust can wear away the running machinery. In order to ensure the long-term stable and reliable operation of air separation equipment, special purification equipment must be set up to remove these impurities.

2.How to judge whether the heat regeneration of molecular sieve is complete?
Firstly, the gas pressure and flow required to heat the molecular sieve are required to meet the process requirements.Heating regeneration process can be judged by regeneration curve. “Cold blast peak” temperature is a sign of whether the whole bed regeneration is complete.

3.What is oxygen release rate?
The percentage of oxygen (gaseous and liquid) produced by an oxygen producer that is not being used. Oxygen release rate is an important index of the adaptability of reaction equipment and production organization. The higher the oxygen release rate, the greater the energy waste, and the worse the comprehensive economic benefits. So we have to do all sorts of things to reduce the oxygen release rate.

4.What are the forms of air pre-cooling systems
a.Air cooling tower with low temperature water.
b.Cryogenic water indirect cooling system.
c.Direct heat transfer system between air and cold refrigerator.
